2. Editorial Mission
2.1. Editorial Mission Statement
The Media Outlet shall disclose its editorial mission statement which shall be consistent with the fundamental ethical principles of trustworthy journalism, and, as described in the Preamble, should incorporate principles of: ethical practice, good governance, self-regulation and Engagement with the public. A Media Outlet shall set out how it proposes to uphold these journalism principles through its Editorial Guidelines and processes which shall include arrangements in relation to internal accountability and of appropriate external accountability (see clauses 9 – 15). Best practice is to have these arrangements codified and made available publicly.

Infocom’s mission is to empower the Armenian public to make well-informed decisions and to reinforce democratic principles in the country through independent, insightful, and comprehensive journalism.
INFOCOM’S CORE VALUES
INDEPENDENCE. For us it means freedom from political influence, as well as financial independence. We are also striving to be independent from our personal biases and personal perspectives, by encouraging a healthy debate in the team about any issue. Our only true commitment is to serve the public interest.
FACT, FACT and FACT. We value factual reporting based on data and evidence, treat facts impartially, separate opinion from fact, correct mistakes openly, and apologize publicly.
HONESTY. We maintain honesty with our audience and team by being transparent about our sources of funding and clearly distinguishing between promotional or affiliate content and journalistic materials. We are committed to honesty with our colleagues by strictly avoiding plagiarism. We uphold honesty with our sources, never disclosing their identities when confidentiality is promised. We remain honest with those we write about by listening to their perspectives and providing a fair opportunity to respond within a reasonable timeframe.
INCLUSIVITY AND TOLERANCE. We strive to address the issues affecting every sector of society, without thematic limitations. We firmly reject discrimination, intolerance, and incitement to hatred based on gender, language, ethnicity, social status, or religious affiliation, and we actively work to expose these.
DO NO HARM. We do not exploit the trust of those who lack experience dealing with the media. We adhere to the presumption of innocence and exercise sensitivity when dealing with minors, individuals with health issues, or those in difficult life situations. We take great care in protecting their identities.
