12. Responsibility for Sources
A Media Outlet shall ensure that the sources used for its journalism are dealt with responsibly and their anonymity protected when justified.
12.1. Anonymity
The procedures for granting anonymity to sources shall be covered by the Editorial Guidelines. The reason for anonymity should be clarified for the public.

Accompany law enforcement officers
News crew should be aware of relevant laws and regulations when accompanying law enforcement officers during arrests and investigations. In these situations, serious legal issues such as violation of the law and privacy may arise. Therefore, this type of information should not be taken without the permission of the head of division or director of the department.
Just because law enforcement officers are entering private property does not mean journalists have the right to do so. Journalists should not enter the property without the permission of the owner or representative in charge.
2.7. Privacy
We should respect the privacy of every viewer, reader and participant related to certain event, and will not invade privacy without sufficient reason while collecting information. The principle of non-disclosure of private information about personal behavior, provided information, correspondence, and conversations shall be followed unless it deemed to be public interest sufficient reason. Even though there is no unified definition on the term “public interest”, it is understood to refer to issues affecting the public interest. For example:
Disclosure and reporting of crime,
Exposing corruption and injustice,
Detection of any anti-social activities,
Need to ensure public health and national security,
Exposing misleading activities of certain organizations and individuals
Provide important information for decision-making on vital issues affecting public interests
Right to express opinion etc.
2.8. Minors /Children/
The rights of minors included in our programs and news shall be prevented from being violated due to the program and news. While respecting children's right to speak and participate, programs and news shall be protected from negative consequences for their physical and emotional condition as well as their dignity.
12.3. Independence and Sources
There should be guidelines on establishing relations with sources which protect the independence of the journalism.

12.4. Diversity of Sources
Editorial guidelines should ensure that a diversity of sources are consulted in producing journalistic content with adequate time for response.
