2. Editorial Mission
2.1. Editorial Mission Statement
The Media Outlet shall disclose its editorial mission statement which shall be consistent with the fundamental ethical principles of trustworthy journalism, and, as described in the Preamble, should incorporate principles of: ethical practice, good governance, self-regulation and Engagement with the public. A Media Outlet shall set out how it proposes to uphold these journalism principles through its Editorial Guidelines and processes which shall include arrangements in relation to internal accountability and of appropriate external accountability (see clauses 9 – 15). Best practice is to have these arrangements codified and made available publicly.

We are here not merely to function as a news outlet, but also to provide a wide range of information derived from various sources. Although the content on Zonautara.com does not solely focus on news, ethical journalistic principles remain our fundamental pillar.
Established in May 2017, Zonautara.com has undergone a series of changes in line with ongoing research and development.
Today, a variety of content can be found on this site, including the concept of data-driven journalism, which has been trending recently. By introducing the “Zona Data” channel, we aim to offer readers a different perspective when examining an issue. The Zona Data channel is also intended as a reference for those seeking supporting data. This data channel is now equipped with a Dataset feature, providing raw data that readers can download.
Our development of the News channel is no longer focused on being the first to publish, but rather on delivering issues with confidence in the information distributed, including republishing articles and coverage from other trusted media outlets.
Catering to readers who crave popular information, we present the REHAT and ZONAPEDIA channels in a relaxed style, yet rich in knowledge. In addition, we also produce TUTUR VISUAL in the form of photos and videos for those who prefer visual formats.
As a media organization managed from North Sulawesi, we continue to cover news about the province located in the northern peninsula of Sulawesi. Although we do not cover it as intensively as other news media in North Sulawesi, we are currently preparing a special channel, SULUTPEDIA, encompassing everything one might want to know about the Negeri Nyiur Melambai.
Moreover, we have developed several special channels, including one dedicated to election coverage, featuring data on all legislative candidates accessible via TAGIH JANJI, as well as Pilkada Ramah Lingkungan (Environmentally Friendly Local Elections). We also now have the CEK FAKTA channel on Zonautara.com as part of our efforts to curb the spread of hoaxes.
